Player Testimonials
What the players have to say about The Thunder Experience:
Beau Geisler (D)
IMPRESSION ON THE FANS AND THE CITY:
"2006-07 was an unbelievable experience for me. The fans are terrific, we've enjoyed it, the organization is top notch and they treat operations like a major-league team - all around it's been a great experience for me in Stockton."
FAVORITE MEMORY FROM 06-07:
"Too many, but right at the beginning of the season - when we went 12-1-1 - just that whole time we ran off a winning streak was incredible and our fans really jumped on-board with us at the beginning of the year."
Devan Dubnyk (G)
ON PLAYING IN FRONT OF THUNDER FANS:
"Certainly it was overwhelming being there - a whole lot more than I ever expected. A treat to be there - there was excitement in the city from day one, and the fans followed through with it until the last game of the season. So it was an absolute treat playing there."
THOUGHTS ON STOCKTON ARENA:
"It's brand new, it's great. It's first class, the fans treat you great - and it looks fantastic on the outside. It's the loudest I've played in - it gave me a boost each home game and I'm certain it'll continue to grow from there."
Tim Verbeek (F)
BEST RINK IN THE ECHL?
"I would say it's the best rink I've played in, in terms of a team I've played for. You have some rinks in the league that can equal the facilities, but in terms of the amenities - seating capacity, player access, dressing room, training room, it's the best in the league that I've experienced."
HIS THOUGHTS ON THE ORGANIZATION:
"This organization treats its players in a first class manner. The way they deal with us, off-ice and on-ice, they've been unbelievable with their treatment of the players."
Mark Adamek (D)
IMPRESSION ON FANS:
"Without a doubt, they're the most hockey crazy and passionate fans I've ever played in front of. They're totally die-hard, supportive through the ups and downs and they always seem happy to be loud and supportive for us. Stockton is a hockey town - I don't consider it anything else."
EXPERIENCES WITH THE ORGANIZATION:
"It's first-class, up and down, from top to bottom. Equipment is always there for me; the whole front office staff, including the hockey operations department, is all about making the players feel comfortable so they can do their job."
